Fortunes change every Friday. It is time to go beyond proclamations, claims, retorts and diatribe. The BO burrow is where all false gods falter. Fly-day or Fry-day..? It depends on which end of the Six Pack chart you are!

Imran Khan – A star is born!

Imran Khan, with 'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na', has made an impressive first step.

As Jai Singh Rathore ('Rats'), who is everything that a Rathore is not supposed to be—pleasant, warm, funny, kind, sensitive and pathologically non-violent—Imran reminds you of the Aamir of QSQT. The countenance is tans-Bollywood, and one can spot a bit of Marlon Brando and Daniel Craig on the Khan canvas!
As an actor, however, Imran will have to go miles to win a comparison with his illustrious uncle.

JTYJN is not Imran's debut in the strict sense of the word, for he has had his cameos, as a child artiste, in 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak' (1988) and 'Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander' (1992).
'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na' has impacted big time, as per the B.O. Richter.

Released on July 4, the film got off to a flying start, collecting 80 per cent in morning shows and 100 per cent in noon shows, across the country. It's one of the biggest openings of the year, so far.

The reports are encouraging and the film is expected to bring in both the buck and the bouquet.
Imran would be seen next in 'Kidnap' and 'Luck'.

Strength: Excellent story-telling
Weakness: Pretentious, at times!
Box Office Verdict: Huge Opening
