Former India captain Sourav Ganguly on Thursday threatened to stop playing for Bengal if some Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) members continue to create problems for his family members.
"Some CAB members are creating problems for my family and if these continue I may consider stop playing for Bengal," Ganguly said at a press conference here.
Ganguly denied any fall-out with former CAB and BCCI Chief Jagmohan Dalmiya, who is fighting for the CAB Presidentship this time.
"I don't have any problem with Dalmiya. My only concern is the problem to my family because of some CAB members," he said.
The elegant left hander, who could not find a place in the Champions Trophy probables, also reckoned that India's ODI captain M S Dhoni must have "felt fatigued" after playing non-stop cricket for the past year.
Ganguly described Dhoni's decision to skip the Sri Lanka tour later this month citing exhaustion as his "personal decision" which should be respected.
"It is absolutely upto him (Dhoni) how much he wants to play. It is his personal decision (to take rest) and we have to respect that. He must have felt fatigued after playing so much cricket for the past one year," he said.

Fortunes change every Friday. It is time to go beyond proclamations, claims, retorts and diatribe. The BO burrow is where all false gods falter. Fly-day or Fry-day..? It depends on which end of the Six Pack chart you are!

Imran Khan – A star is born!

Imran Khan, with 'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na', has made an impressive first step.

As Jai Singh Rathore ('Rats'), who is everything that a Rathore is not supposed to be—pleasant, warm, funny, kind, sensitive and pathologically non-violent—Imran reminds you of the Aamir of QSQT. The countenance is tans-Bollywood, and one can spot a bit of Marlon Brando and Daniel Craig on the Khan canvas!
As an actor, however, Imran will have to go miles to win a comparison with his illustrious uncle.

JTYJN is not Imran's debut in the strict sense of the word, for he has had his cameos, as a child artiste, in 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak' (1988) and 'Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander' (1992).
'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na' has impacted big time, as per the B.O. Richter.

Released on July 4, the film got off to a flying start, collecting 80 per cent in morning shows and 100 per cent in noon shows, across the country. It's one of the biggest openings of the year, so far.

The reports are encouraging and the film is expected to bring in both the buck and the bouquet.
Imran would be seen next in 'Kidnap' and 'Luck'.

Strength: Excellent story-telling
Weakness: Pretentious, at times!
Box Office Verdict: Huge Opening

Life on the Run...

Oozing out in a mall with cold drinks and friend to accompany in a summer evening....Makes life slide into the rare unconventional mode, where you are extracted out of your responsibilities and priorities...

Amidst such a lasting backdrop of life, a more contrasting conventional sight gave me a second thought to ponder about. It might be time for us to take the rear seat and stretch out. But life doesn't holds the same for all.

Two guys in a winding summer evening, sweating out in front of
the mall in every possible way to make a sale....Hmmm...guess what!? Selling latest edition of Oxford Dictionary, an Encyclopedia.

This indeed raised a topic among us. Both agreed to the same conclusion. They should have something more cool this summer to market.

The one attired in tie named Rakesh, promises the Oxford Dictionary @ an unbelievable price of Rs. 500/- (approx. $ 12), which is tagged MRP 49 UK pounds.

The one next to him is Amar, commits the same wordings about the Encyclopedia.

We were there from 7:30pm till 11:15 pm witnessing the unputdownable efforts of these brave martyrs against the inexorable customers and the moist humid deccan climate, unable to make a single sale.

Not with pity but with concern, walked up to these folks. Both of us were welcomed with the scripted pitch which was almost by heart to us. We made one thing very clear to them that we were not talking to them to buy their stuff. To this Amar refutes saying, "What makes you walk up to us?", which sounded very rhetorical as he continues "Is it out of petty??"

Honestly speaking none of us were pinched by his expression, 'coz even we were thwarted of happened in the past three and a half hours. On further conversation with these guys, it revealed that they work only for their salary. They are not bestowed with the blessing of incentives, perks, commissions, etc unlike most of us.

At some point we felt buying their books, however, our pockets didn't allow. The session of the strangers was a rich exchange of experience and views.

It was time to say adieu. We shake hands.
In the meanwhile Amar slipped his visiting card onto me requesting to forward any reference, with a sense of apology for his previous act. This aroused Rakesh's senses as well, and did the same.

Suddenly the bulb glow right next to my head, and I asked them for a snap. And the entire of concept of Blogging ratified my senses as if i was a born Bloggers!

Watch out the Irony of Fate, guys who were almost hooting and cribbing for sale in the crowd, showed a thing line of shyness to give a cheesy look in front of the camera.

We seek their permission to publish their contact info across the globe online, and they were more than happy to it.

The trip to the mall was to fancy around, but eventually it turned around to be a sensitive journey with hoards of experience and exchange of views.
